Format:
The following format was chosen given the unknown size of the tournment and to give ample time for an OHSFCA meeting at 12:00 p.m.

There will be no restriction on the number of fencers entered per school per event. There will be 7 fencing strips available 5 will be grounded. Fencers may not wear chest protectors outside of their jackets. The tournament software point control will be used.

For each event the fencers will be divided into pools. The pool size will depend on number of fencers but 6 will be the preferred number.

The initial seed list will be based on USFA ratings with the High School listed as the club for each fencer. The software random selection will be used for ties. The pool round will be standard USFA bouts of 5 touches within 3 minutes.

At the conclusion of the pool round, a final Direct Elimination round will be used consisting only of either:
(1) The top 4 fencers from the pool rankings as determined by the software if there are a total of 15 competitors; or
(2) The top 8 fencers from the pool rankings as determined by the software if there are more than 15 total competitors.

Individual awards will be given to the top 4 fencers, 1st 2nd and two 3rd places. There will be no fence off for third place.

School results will be based on the combined points given to the top 3 fencers of each School. If a school has less than three fencers entered in the event, the school will only received points for the fencers entered. Points will be awarded to each school's fencer based on final ranking. For example, if there are 24 men foilists, the first place fencer will be awarded 24 points for his school. The second place fencer will be awarded 23 points and so on. The school with the most points will receive a trophy and be declared the victor.
